Rustic Portugal: The Charm of a Bailout

Did you hear that Portugal just asked the EU for a bail-out? The economic situation there is relative of course, but I couldn’t help noticing clearly the lack of development compared to Britain, France or Germany. Yet, I think that that’s what gives Portugal incredible character. The little chip in the tile here, laundry on the line, a few dusty cars rattling the streets. There’s incredible charm in all that! And most importantly to me, everything was very clean (including one of the best metros I’ve ever seen!) However, this could be unique to Porto…
